Just thought I'd post and let everyone know how church went this morning.
I didn't make it there until 11am. When I walked in, there wasn't a single soul there to help me. Usually there'd be like 4-5 children and 2-3 adults. But there was no one. But I kept calm. So I walked in the church and asked our pastor to get someone to help me. It was about 15 minutes later when one of the church ladies came in. She'd never taught before so we were trying to figure it all out together. I'd never been a leader before, just a helper. I sure was glad to have Tyler there to help set up the food and drinks. The lady that had worked with me before came over and got Eric for me and took him to the nursery with her. That was a true blessing! We were later than normal getting all the food set up but it was completed by the time the children came over. It was completely different than normal but we successfully completed the class. Coughed a lot, but made it through. Thankfully, one of the older youth came over and sat with the really small ones while myself and the other lady worked together with the rest. Most of the bigger kids stayed back in the church to listen to the youth pastor. We were blessed with 25 children rather than the 30-35 that we normally have.
Another blessing today was that when we got home, Duck had found our dog. He'd drove all over but couldn't find him. Our neighbor called and said that he was up there. So Duck went up there and got him. He seems different, not as active. I guess he got scared pretty bad with being lost. Our other dog was the same way yesterday when we got her home. Maybe they'll know not to wonder off again. Who knows!
I think I'll go and try to find some cough medicine. It's not worked yet but I'm gonna have to try it anyway. My coughing is starting to get on everyones nerves.

KC, You need to see a Doctor, if you've been like this for days, you need to be checked out. It is only going to get worse. So please go. I'm glad you found your dogs, they sure can worry you when they decide to take off, I've had it happen so many times , and I worried like crazy. I'm glad the Sunday School class turned out that good. You still need it organized by age though, and teachers found for every Sunday, they are not going to learn with that much of an age spread. I have to go back to Church so I'll talk to you later. Love you Much, Aunt Sue
KC, take care of that cough. If it was one of the boys you would already have been to the doctor. Hope you are feeling better.
Louami, what a day you had. Thank God you really were not hurt and made it home okay. I use to work for an eye doctor that said "one eye is a necessity and two are a luxury". At least you could see well enough to get back home. I can just imagine you breaking out in a cold sweat when you thought you lost your credit card.
Hope everyone had a good Sabbath and got some rest this afternoon. Our reunion was a big success with lots of good food and good fun. One of my cousins came from Colorado and my niece that lives in California came with her husband and two daughters. One of the daughters I had never seen and she is two years old. Our family auction netted over $1400. We had all kinds of gifts to sell. Roamer took a walking stick and it went for $55.00. It was oak and so pretty. A cousin that lives in South Carolina has been doing some genealogy and she took everyone's old videos of past reunions and put them on three DVD's after she edited them. The bidding was fast and furious when they came up for bid.
My cousin also had a tapestry made with my grandparents picture on it. It sold for $300.00, was purchased by my brother that lives in Lexington and then he sent it over to me. I started crying and almost sobbed. The tapestry is beautiful and I have it hung already. Wasn't that sweet of him??
I love the reunion and feel a sense of loss when it is over. Families don't get together often enough, usually only when someone dies. Please put my aunt, Lena, on your prayer list. Her cancer has returned this summer and she is taking chemotherapy. I drove her down to my little house because she wanted to see where I lived. We've been close for years. She is hard to get to know but well worth the effort. My life is richer for having known her.

Hello Gammaw, I'm glad the reunion was such a success, It sure is nice to see and fellowship with family you haven't seen in a long time. Your cousin was very nice to buy the tapestry for you, but you deserve it! You do so much for others, its wonderful when someone does something nice for you. I can't wait for our reunion, I'm looking forward to meeting most of our forum, and of course I'm going to be very happy to spend time with my family, I don't get to see them near enough. I'm going to go, I'll talk to everyone later. Love and God Bless, SG
I was reading your post about your coughing and no insurance. There is a free clinic in Hazard called Little Flowers. I don't know much about it, but my Mom's friend goes and she doesn't have any insurance. I am am not postive but I don't think she pays anything even for her medicine. If you are not feeling better maybe you should check it out.
Hi all Hope all ok.This is a sad day our grandson who in the service was home on leave had to go back today. He has to go to Iraq next month.

I was just sitting here and thought I'd check the forum and post. I just got Eric back to bed. He took a spell where he couldn't get his breath. I don't know if it's that sleep apnea thing or what. I was told a few years back that I needed to keep an eye on him for it. He has always had a strange breathing pattern. It's like they say, it seems like he stops breathing for a few seconds and then starts back. A lot of the time, that's when he wakes not being able to catch his breath. I just finished giving him a breathing treatment. He was also complaining of his belly hurting. I did get a burp out of him while I was carrying him though. It's something how a child of 8 years still needs help with something as simple as that. Right after that he went right back to sleep. So far so good.
I think I've put this Dr. thing off long enough. If I don't improve by Wed. morning, I plan on trying to go then. That way I won't have to drag the boys off with me, they'll be in school. I tried to sleep in the living room chair last night again until Duck went to sleep. I dozed off and on until 3:30. Eric had wet his bed so by the time I got him taken care of and back to bed, I thought I'd try it. Just as soon as I laid down, I started another one of the uncontrollable coughing spells and woke Duck up. So back to the couch I went. I slept there the rest of the night. I'm not even going to try it tonight. I'm sleeping on the couch so he can get some rest.
Napier86, I am aware of the free clinic. I went there a few times years ago when they were at their old location. About a month ago, Eric was told he had strep and I had some of the same symptoms, so I decided to go there and get checked to make sure I didn't have it because I was planning on a trip to MI. to visit with family and I didn't want to give it to them. I didn't have it but they told me that I couldn't be seen there again until I brought in a big list of things. Things like letters saying that I wasn't eligible for a medical card, copies of all check stubs, last years income taxes, etc. I think there was 6-8 things she said. It'll take me forever to come up with all that stuff! To beat all things, I didn't even get a copy of the list because I was so busy trying to keep the boys out of trouble that I forgot to ask. I'll do something though. I can't go on forever like this. But thanks for the info.
I had another busy day today. Since school starts back tomorrow for my niece and Wed. for my boys, we decided to take them to Pikeville to Mr. Gatti's. It was way too hot to take them somewhere to do something outside. I'd only taken them there I think once before and that was a few years ago when my mom was still with us to celebrate the boy's birthdays. Eric didn't even remember the place but he was sure excited when he walked in and saw the game room. He was dancing around and going "ooh, ooh" with those funny expressions and moves that he has. Even the cashier was laughing at him because of how excited he was. They had a blast though! Sg, it costed more than ChuckeCheese did in MI/OH last month! But at least the summer is over and I can start to conserve again.
Well everyone, I think I'll get off here and try to get ready to call it a night. It'll still take me another 30-45 minutes to get everything put away and to get myself ready. I guess I'll try to look for some more med. to try too. The rest hasn't seemed to work. I just can't figure it out though! I've not had a fever, I don't have any sinus trouble, but I just can't seem to get rid of this scrathy throat and stop coughing. Who knows?!!!........
Hello. I am new on here. I thought I would get on and see if I could find some old friends and make some new ones as well. I used to date a girl back in high school named Nancy Little that was from Hardburly. Does any of you know her or how she is doing. It would be nice to chat with her and catch up.
Hey Frank, I'm sure someone on here can help you out, where were you from as you grew up? did you know any other folks from hardburly?
Hope everyone else is doing ok!
telereric, sounds like it's time to take care of that thing we don't need to go to the hospital with this thing, I'll be praying for you guy's.
Deaser, Carnus, where are you guy's? seems like when I start posting you guy's start slacking, is it me? I hope not!!
And all my other hardburly friends I would like to say a big houdy too, and pray that I will see most of you in a few week's, if the lord see's fit to let me make it down, love all you all, and take care of yourselves..

Good Eveinig all, KC. I want you to see a Doctor and find out what the problem is, ok? You can't let a thing like that go on and on, it could get very serious, so please see a Doctor ok? Let me know as soon as you do.You need to have the Doctor check Eric for sleep apnea also, though I don't know if you could get him to use the machine if he had it, Joe calls it his alien mask. Let us know, ok? We'll be praying. I love you!
Vi, I think maybe we better build us an Ark or something, we Must have caught up on all the rain we were short on by now, I just wish the rain would cool things off and bring the humidity down, its getting hard to breathe.I won't complain too much though, we really needed the rain, and I am thankful. You take care I'll see you soon. Love you.
Louami, I hope the ceremony went ok, and I hope you can have a little time for yourself after this, I'd be half nuts by now, but then I am half nuts, so some people say! I'm glad the puppies now have a kennel, that will make it a lot easier on you, I'm sure. they sure are beautiful, though.I just got home from curves a little while ago, I won't get to walk though, it was too humid to walk outside, then it started raining again, and now the drive has huge puddles all over it, so I guess I'll skip today, I don't want to use the treadmill because its slipping a little again and it bugs me, I'll just make up for it on Thursday and Friday, I guess. I can use a break, so I'll not worry about it too much.I'll talk to you soon, I love you.
Deaser1, I sure hope things are going well for you, I can't wait to see you at the homecoming, the last time I saw you was at Napier, imagine that! Thanks for the wonderful pm, you are one of a kind, my brother, And I love you very much. I will talk to you later. To everyone I missed, YOU ARE LOVED!! I will talk to you next time. God Bless, SG
Oh, hi max. Thanks for replying to my post. I was born in letcher county but I was raised in Hazard. Most of my family is from up Grapevine. There are other Nobles is this area but most are not related to me. I recall nancy having a brother named bill. I heard he passed away a few years back though. I'm not for sure if she was raised in Hardburly but I do know that she lived there back when we were teenagers. About a year ago my wife passed away. We were in an accident on our way back from visiting her family in Tennessee. I've not really been in touch with any of my old friends. I thought maybe i'd try to look some up on here and try to move on. There is not a day that goes by that I dont miss her. Once again, thanks for replying to my post. Look forward to hearing from you again.

Good Morning All
Just a short post this morning. I have a prayer request.
A very dear friend of mine from church is going through a very bad divorce and she just found out that her mother committed suicide on Monday. She has to be to the funeral home at 11am to identify the body. They told to wait until then because it would take them a while to get the body ready because of the damage the gun shot did to her head and face. She's very tore up right now because she doesn't know what she going to see. PLEASE... add her to your prayer list!
Dear KC, I'm so sorry to hear about such a loss. I will surly be praying for your friend. God bless you. I know your caring heart hurts too. Please give all your problems to the Lord and trust him to keep you strong. I love you,
I have a prayer request, please pray for my Daughter, melissa, she is sick with crohn's disease and has to go to the hospital friday and have a cat scan. please put her on your prayer list. thank you
k.c so sorry to hear about what your friend is going through, that is awful, when we think we have problems we can look around and find some body that has worst problems than we do, but we know we can look to God and he will see us through them. your friend will be on my prayer list.

Just an update on today.
My friend isn't doing too well. When I walked in the school this evening, she looked as though she was in shock or just in another world. Her eyes are swollen terribly. I asked her if she'd eaten today and she couldn't remember. She's so tiny that she only bones anyway. She can't afford to loose any more weight. I didn't ask her the details from the 11am ordeal but I was told by her neighbor that drove her home this morning that the funeral home told her that if they want an open casket that it will take them 2 days to try to get the body presentable. That is if they can at all. She has wonderful faith in the Lord but this is surely a very big stress on her. She's doing the "What ifs" and "Could haves....". I talked to her quite a bit this morning and again this afternoon. She truly needs prayers......
One more thing before I go. I finally got everything completed in order to be seen today at the free clinic for my cough. I've now tried to sleep the past 3 nights in the living room. Needless to say, it isn't working. I'm just coughing too much. They were totally stumped as far as what's going on. Like I said in an earlier post, there's no other symptoms. The Dr. couldn't even find anything. She asked questions like possibly pets, or if anything had changed. She told me to try taking Claritin for a few days and if it hasn't improved by Monday to come back in and she'll possibly try me on an inhailer. I hope how soon this goes away. I'm staying hoarse most of the day and coughing so bad at times that I'm having a hard time catching my breath.
I'm gonna get off here. I've got that end of the school day thing to do and I have to go back out to the pharmacy to pick up the boys medicines that I forgot to get earlier.
