I got myself into genealogy recently. Trying to figure out my roots, my ancestors, where my family name comes from etc.
I have drawn my family tree, I plan to expand it, and right now I'm looking for some decent genealogy software (considering to buy edrawsoft).
My family name is Pollock and I found this article here which was a very interesting read. According to the article, Pollock (Pollok) seems to be a very old scotish name. I come to realize that in a way I am connected to total strangers scattered all around the world. It's written by this guy Tristan Pollock who is a "business person" according to google. I am practically considering starting to email random Pollocks I come across on the internet.
