I lived in Walkertown with my parents till December of 72 when I went and joined the Air Force for the next 20 yrs. My parents both passed away and the house I grew up in was bought by the lumber company. I lived on River Road. I try and visit Hazard as much as I can. I still have family there. Just curious as to who all still lived there

I grew up in Walkertown in the 50's and 60's. We lived on Allais Rd across from Napier Lumber Co. They bought that property too and the house was torn down. We lived there in the 1957 flood. The Combs family lived beside us. They were Beverly, David, LouGreig, Glenda, Valeria. After their mother passed away, the house was torn down.
I lived in Allais from 1947 to about 1970. It will always be my home and I loved every minute of it. My childhood memories are the best and I will never forget all my friends I grew up with. My family was the Watts'. If there is anyone out there that has moved away and want to talk about those memories of Allais and Walkertown, I would love to hear from you. I only live about 30 minutes from my home town. Sharon
I grew up in Walkertown and used to be best friends with the Olivers; Patricia, Helen, Carol and Donny; I lost touch with them when I went in the service. One of my relatives lives next to their old house in Walkertown.
