My Grandfather had a wooden leg and he got around on it pretty good too. He lost it in Mom's coal mines, she shut the mine down as soon as that happened. He didn't hear the guy say the dinomite was set to go off and went back in to check on him. I remember Eula Gene Brrewer and her Mother, I forget her first name. Her Mother had the shakes so bad, Parkinson's I suppose she had. I'm not sure. I went with my Grandmother to visit Eula Gene one time they were her neighbor's up in Sawmill.
Basil and Lou were our neighbor's and they had 11 Children, all have died except Truenetta. My Sister and I talk to her on the phone. She wants me to publish the Kennedy Family book, but I need more information to add to my file before I can do that. Anyone that can add to it please click on Berea and send me a personal message.
Trunetta Kennedy Vires asked me to publish my file of her Kennedy Family. If you are related to this Kennedy Family and want your information included, pm me and I'll let you know what I need to get from you. This Family goes back from Basil, Josephus, John Ellis, Hugh Kennedy. You can get a copy of the Kennedy Book on www.lulu.com.
I am Millard and trunetta Vires granddaughter. Mamaw told me about the book and I did send her a couple pictures she was supposed to pass along. I am the one in the family who I saw obsessed with genealogy and my families history. I am still in touch with Mavis who was My papaw's sister. Darrel was Mavis' son and he supposedly took his own life. His daughter Amy still lives in this area and I have spoken to her. In my research I have found several pictures of Trunets parents Basil and Louvernia. I'd be happy to share any info that I have that I'd of interest to anyone. You can find my on Facebook Tiffany Rae Jones
And I forgot to ask if anyone who has memories of any idf my Vires Kennedy family would share those memories. Even though I research every day about my family history I have not been able to find much about Millards mom Mary Jones. My mom Vicky passed away last year but she told me before the only thing she could remember about Mary was the pink applesauce and how nice she was. Both sides of my mom's family tree were private people so information has been difficult locating
