Congratulations to the Buckner family for the new arrival of their Grandbaby. I love her name. I'm sure she'll hear all about her Uncle Dustin and feel his presence as well. May God bless your family and your new arrival.
It is better to have love and lost to have never loved at all!!!!!

Today, May 23, 2008, makes 3 years since Dustin left us. Last night at Honor's Night a senior band member was presented with the Dustin Buckner Memorial Scholarship. You would have been a senior this fall...you will always be a part of the HHS Class of 2009.

Oh my little Dustin, how the world really did stop revolving for just a moment when you left it. Reach down and comfort Josh. He is in Arizona now in school, but he still has a hard time. every now and again he just can't keep it in and when he lets it out it is so heartbreaking. Josh has moved on Dustin, but he did not leave you behind. He still has your leather bracelet with your name on it that Darlene gave to him, and he keeps it wrapped around the handlebar of his motorcycle. When he is riding, he sits for a minute before he takes off, and touches it, throws a hand up to you, and then rides and jumps, and has a ball. We all love you and miss you terribly. You and God keep an eye on Josh for me.

Merry Christmas Dud, went by your grave last week. I miss you so much, you were so good to Josh and he loved you like a brother. He came home for Christmas and he looked great. I know that yyou are with him always and that is such a comfort. Tell Peggy hello for me and you two behave.
I was real good friends with Dustin's mom and I knew this lil boy.I remember how much happiness he brought to her life,he was smart, kind, generous, lovin, caring and very well liked by others.I hated so bad when this happen to him,he didn't desreve to die at such a young age.I believe that god had bigger and better plans for him in heaven.I do know that after his death he mommy was never the same she just looked so lost all the time and needed answers as to why this happened, but I believe she got her answers because she became a better person so that she can be with him again someday.....PRAYING 4 U MELISSA EVERYDAY..
Today, May 23, 2009 makes 4 years since you left us. It doesn't seem possible that it has been that long. You would have been a senior this year and graduating next Sunday with the Hazard High School Class of 2009. RIP Dustin.
