This picture breaks my heart. I pray that the Lord will help this family. I lived in the same neighborhood as the Buckners for many years. My boys were older than theirs, but my boys enjoyed going over there and hanging out. This was such an accepting and friendly family. I will never forget Dustin's dad always working on a bicycle, dirt bike, or ATV out there and how all the neighborhood kids felt welcome to stop by. I didn't know Dustin after he grew up, he was very young when I moved away, but I am positive he was a wonderful young man. My thoughts and prayers are with this family.
DUSTIN I DIDN'T KNOW YOU BUT I REMEMBER SEEING YOU AROUND BACKWOODS RIDING SOMETHING ALL THE TIME. WHEN I HERD THE TRAGEDY MY HEART JUST MELTED. MY BROTHER IS JUST 13 AND IS ALLOT LIKE YOU. "ALWAYS ON A BIKE" SO YOUR DEATH HIT REALLY CLOSE TO HOME FOR ME. MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF DUSTIN. JUST ASK GOD FOR HELP AND HE WILL. ASHWIN, RAM AND DJ GUYS I CAN IMAGINE HOW YOU FEEL. JUST PRAY AND REMEMBER THE THAT ALL THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON LIKE SOMEONE SAID MAYBE GOD NEEDED A DRUMER IN HIS HEAVENLY BAND SO HE TOOK THE BEST THAT THERE WAS. I WILL BE PRAYING FOR ALL OF YOU.

I got to know Dustin back in 2002-2003 when I was a lifeguard at the Pavilion. He would come in and swim and play tennis about every day. I must say he was one of the nicest and most respectful kids I had ever met. He was one of the few I wasn't trying to ban everyday lol. I know how you all are feeling as it has been 1 year and 2 months since I lost my 17 year old first cousin in a car wreck 2 months before her h.s. graduation. There is nothing that will hit you harder or put a reality check on your own lives than when a young person is taken. My prayers from Breathitt Co. are with you all
WE will all miss Dustin so very much. He could always light up the place. I have known Dustin since he was a baby. No one understands why he's not here any more. But I feel like God needed another angel to look over us and help us make the right decisions in our life and even though we can see him I still feel his presence near us. Dustin will always be in our hearts. We love you Dustin and you will never be forgotten.
Dustin was a great person and an awesome musician. He had alot of friends and did his best in school. He was also and athlete and a terrific friend to everyone. Please pray for Dustin's Family and his girlfriend Olivia who loves him very much!!
:'(Dustin Ryan Buckner. He was the student every teacher wanted, the best friend everyone needed and the son any parent would dream about. Dustin is so greatly missed. Sometimes I wonder Why Dustin?? Why take the life of someone who was going places? Why not take someones life who wouldnt have had a career, or meant something to the world. Dont get me wrong but every person matters, but dustin was just a child. He was going to go onto high school and play in a band or something. But, then i think to myself god has a reason for everything and the reason to take a soul as wonderful as dustin's prescence and future. We Luv U And Ur GRetaly Missed!!

Dustin was my cousin. Such a good kid, so young. It is so tragic when these things happen. Thanks to everyone in Hazard who have shown there support to my family. I'm in the Navy and was unable to make it home for this tragedy because i was returning from deployment. Thanks again for your support.
