i was at the odch from 1972 untill 1974..i was a child of 11 to 13 yrs.old at the time.. the home had a dog named she-she. she was a beautiful dog. i went to school up there as well. we also shoveled coal into the fire for the furnace.we swam in the pond there at the time.played in the woods and went to a church every sunday that wasnt on the mountain. we went to town every now and then.there was a man there at the time who was a vietnam vet.his name was terry.rick was a pastor there and musdale who made us like liver and onions...l o l..she was a stern lady,but very sweet and loving of the children there.i fell while swinging on a rope there one year. a kid named kenny ran about 2 miles back to the house to get help. i broke my wrist when i fell off the rope.we chassed snakes and sally joes,( lizzards ). we were one big happy family.i still have photos from there when i was a child.

I was at the home in the early 60's, maybe 68. Dont remember alot, myself, my sister and brother were dropped off by our parents, we didnt know why. We were told it was just for alittle while. I dont know how long we lived there but i never laid eyes on my siblings while i was there. Then the day our parents came to get us, we all left together. Im sure it was a good place, but i never felt love while there. Some got whipping for nothing.
