Basically the same from what I have seen. I can't remember the total # of channels on Sirius but XM has 220+ and adding. Sirius has The Grand Old Opry live. As far as price Sirius is only $1 higher, $9.95 vs. $10.95 per month. XM is a little cheaper the more moths that you choose to pay at one time.
SIRIUS satellite radio announced yesterday that starting in 2006, Howard Stern will be exclusively on Sirius Satellite radio broadcasting his daily four hour show completely uncut and uncensored. Gotta love some uncensored Stern. I think I'm leaning towards SIRIUS now.
Im not the only one that knows what it is, you definitely should. For sake of all who is really unaware I will take the time to remind you. I recall a couple of days ago you took a shot at me claiming I had a "I dont like any radio station" attitude. That was in response to a post I made on the Black Gold music thread that is located on the Other Topics portion of this board, whereby I pointed out that if we had a real local rock and roll station we would have better success in attracting better rock groups to our annual festival. Instead, you decided to take the whole post out of context and turn it into a "he has a piss poor attitude" thing. That was in response to a comment I made about your Anita Cochran chick (whoever that is) needing to write her own material and quit riding the tide of a song that has already been sold ten million times over (as YOU claimed she is doing). Again, you had no response to that and totally avoided the issue at hand by making some snide off the wall comment directed at another realm. You even go as far as to assume that I am against all country music and against all radio stations. FYI, I dig some country music, maybe not Trace Adkins but some I do enjoy listening to. Whether or not I liked him or didnt like him before I saw his show is not a question here. I paid for that ticket, I got the right to complain no matter how I felt before entering those doors. I am entitled to my opinions and if you think that is wrong sobeit. If you were half as literate as you wish people to believe that you are you would not make such bold statements and run away like the little **** you really are. You almost sound like an advisor to presidential candidate John Kerry, always swaying in an out on critical issues. Now....put your -- on the table here. Since you defended local radio stations in saying I have a poor attitude toward them (even going as far to say that I should MOVE away from here in order to be able to listen to the music I prefer), why must you rely on XM radio in order to totally fulfill your musical needs?
Brutter Hash, I find it always amusing that no matter what you post about, some lunatic always...and I do mean always...singles you out for a debate over NOTHING... Your winning personality must outshine reason..LOL
DaveB..I just realized who you are and I want you to know that I am upset with you...I was constantly broke in my high school years because I couldn't go for more than a day without buying something from Penny Lane. I will expect my reimbursement check any day now..LOL
After the store first opened, do you remember the time when a lady came in with her obviously underage son and asked if you guys carried 2 Live Crew?
It was too funny, you knew what she was getting at and told her that you didn't , but Steve ran over to the rap section and pulled out three of thier albums? and said "Yeah, we have all kinds of it"...and the woman gave a speech about stores that sell filth and ran out the door...
The only filth I see seems to be right here. If you read my posts maybe you should have read them all and not just part of them and then you would have seen that I like all kinds of music and I never said I didn't like the radiostations here. WSGS plays more in my car than any other station. As far as Anita I made my point and the others in the conversation seen it. If you're not intelligent enough to converse I'm sorry for ya but it's not brain surgery to spout out hate and filth. As far as the concert you went to, YOU DIDN'T LIKE IT BUT YOU WENT ANYWAY. WOW, that was smart. No one wants to here you complain. Mybe you are the one that needs a satelite radio. I listen to the open road channel, bluegrass and others but I still love the stations here. A good education a few grants and about a quarter of a mil will fix your radiostation problem. I don't think there is much hope for your attitude and it certainly doesn't deserve another response because you can't converse outside of the filth that comes out of your mouth. DID YOU LEARN THAT FROM YOU MUSIC? You will get no more responses from me.
Just as I suspected, I'll get no more response from you. It makes no difference to me, Im kinda tired of deciphering your posts so that they make sense. At least I can converse in a logical manner and I do not hide from the obvious.

Hey Jody, I remember, but I must admit I had forgotten TORT when I was trying to name bands. Are you still playing any music ? What kind ? What I remember most is that awesome radio voice. Are you still doing that ? where ? "This is Jody in that big 'ol air chair " or something like that. Killer. I don't know if Flat Mary Stone still exists or not, haven't heard a thing from them since early 2003, I think. Feel me in, man.
