The First Annual Cameron Hoskins Memorial Classic will be played at HHS Nov. 5th. Gate money will go to the family for a scholarship fund that has been set up. Please come out and support this cause.

I missed the ceremony but I understand it was nice and presentation to family.
.Somebody can post about it here.
.I heard a lot of kids were wearing bracelets given out with his initials that said The Ball Is In Your Court.

No... its not...I talked to Kim yesterday, altho it was heartwrenching for them...they wanted this. It will help keep Cam's memory alive and help others in the process and thats exactly what Cam would have wanted. He was all for helping and encouraging others.

I miss and love you, Cam....

No Firebreather the family deeply appreciated it.There was $500 raised in event. The family was honored.I think it was posted 7th and 8th grade chorus sang, players for Hazard wear insignia with Cameron's number on their jerseys.I think adults from schools need to see kids got along.A scholarship fund was being established.Bracelets with his initials were given out saying The Ball Is In Your Court.

Is there a place in Hazard that accepts donations for schlorship fund?

What I loved best about Cameron was his kindness/compassion for others.

The scholarship was set up by the family for the kids at Chavies. Hazard's team just gave a donation. Hazard's players wanted to do this because Louie and Chavies have always been very good to us. When we didn't have anywhere to play, they invited us there and we always had a great time. We think alot of Louie, his famiy and the team. It was very touching to see kids and adults from both schools embracing and honoring Cameron. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Hoskins family.

Sunbeam call Happy Mobelini the principal of Hazard High School at the school and he should be able to tell you how to donate.I believe that would be welcome. He may tell you to contact Chavies coach or school but I know there was $500 raised the other night.Happy is principal and coach of 8th grade team.

I am a parent of a member of the ball team at Chavies and I want to thank Happy and the boys for what they did for the Hoskins and our Chavies family...It meant so much to all of us but especially Cam's family...I remember when these boys all started playing ball together in our AAU league that we would have..All the kids in this county are enemies on the ball floor and good friends as soon as they step off...Again thanks for everything!..As for the bracelets they were ordered by the family..They are red ones and then blue/orange ones for Florida of course Cam's favorite team...I wear mine everyday but anyway..They have CTH22 on them plus the saying The Ball Is In Your Court....That is a saying that they found on small cards that they gave our ball boys at the funeral were they were pallbearers....They thought the saying fit....My son carries his card in his wallet.....Myself I was very touched by the whole thing..I cried from the time I walked in seeing the signs the kids made til I walked out the door after the presentation...
